Description:
The registered dietitian (RD) is responsible for the nutritional intervention of acute care hospitalized patients. The RD recommends appropriate medical nutrition therapy based on patient's diagnosis and nutritional status. Educates patients, family and significant others on nutritional guidelines to follow at home, as needed. Contributes to departmental achievements through process improvement. Documents nutritional interventions including plan of care in patients' charts following established procedures.
Qualifications:
Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) CDR Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist Additional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition. Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetic Registration and Florida State licensure (LD/N). If registration/license eligible, must become registered/licensed within 1 year. This position requires direct patient care through assessment, intervention and care planning. The following proven skills are expected, include excellent verbal/written communication, critical thinking, basic computer, and service excellence. Minimum Required Experience: Less than 1 Year
