Required License/Registration/Certification
Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed by the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists within 6 months of hire. Failure to do so will result in separation from employment.
Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position include: regularly standing/walking with objects up to 10lbs,regularly sitting at a computer work station for extended periods of time (includes repetitive motions).
Shift
PRN , approximately 8:00am - 4:30pm; Must be available to work at least 1 day/week and preferably additional days to cover leaves etc. Will be included in weekend/holiday rotation (around 1 weekend per quarter and 1 holiday per year).
Job Summary
Performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Responsible for the evaluation, coordination, and implementation of the nutrition care plan for patients. Provides education and counseling to patients on their nutritional needs. Ensures customer satisfaction and good public relations through the safe and efficient use of resources. Performs duties in compliance with performance improvement plans, TJC , and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. Serves as a nutrition educator for students, medical staff, health professionals, and/or general public. Serves as a role model, resource, and leader for other clinical dietitians. Exhibits nutrition expertise in specified area of practice.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
This position will serve in a PRN capacity. The ideal candidate will be available to work weekdays to provide weekend and/or vacation coverage and be included in the clinical RD weekend/holiday rotation.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?

Preferred Education/Experience
Clinical nutrition experience in acute care setting covering multiple patient populations highly preferred.
