The Construction Assistant Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day implementation and project management of new store construction, store expansions, store renovations, and any other department projects assigned.
Responsibilities
Main Ingredients:
- Review submittals
- Floor sink verification
- Review construction progress for schedule and quality
- Approve Operation and Maintenance Manuals
- Approve As-Built drawings
- Verify all close out documents
- Oversee goods received, purchased and services
- Issue and monitor purchase orders and deliveries for fixtures, furnishings, and equipment
- Contract third party inspections
- Participates in staff special projects
- Establish utility services accounts
- Acquire energy rebates
- Follow up on warranty items
- Electronically store drawings on V-Drive
- Manages special projects and meets required deadlines
- Travel to store locations as required

Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
- 2 years of experience in Commercial Construction Management required
- OSHA 30 certification required
- BA in Architecture, Construction Management or Civil Engineering a plus
- SAP experience a plus
- Field experience required Retail construction management/experience a plus
- Knowledge of Commercial Construction Knowledge of ADA requirements
- Knowledge of UBC, NEC, UPC, UMC, IFC
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Strong organizational skills and a strong track record for managing multiple projects and meeting required deadlines
- Ability to effectively work with little or no supervision
- Strong analytical/decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail
- Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess exceptional leadership qualities
Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently work with sharp tools and equipment, dust, fumes, and in a congested worksite.
- Must be able to occasionally work with outside, cold, heat, wet/humid, contact stress, heights and chemicals.
