POSITION


The Commercial Training & Development Lead is responsible for the development, and delivery of training content that increase the skills and knowledge of all commercial, customer-facing roles, with a goal of increasing effectiveness.


This includes new hire classes, National and Regional meetings, virtual learning programs, and other identified training opportunities. 


The position reports to the Head of Global Commercial Training & Development and requires the ability to: develop and create curriculum, communicate effectively across various roles and levels of influence without authority, manage cross functional projects, identify learning needs, build training plans, and deliver training that engages the learner, and tracks associated metrics.


The role requires a high level of stakeholder management including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Market Access, Human Resources, ACT, Legal, Medical, Compliance and Regulatory.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and deliver Commercial training virtual /live sessions and interventions to improve field effectiveness– all phases. Provide feedback to RBDs on KAM performance.

  • Leads New Hire Classes for all Commercial team members, (KAMs, TLLs, etc.). Develop and deliver training sessions and assessments by facilitating new hire training – all phases.  Provide feedback to field managers on new hire performance

  • Conducts quarterly field visits to evaluate accuracy and relevance of training efforts.

  • Partners with internal subject matter experts (Marketing, Medical, Market Access, ACT) to create, implement and measure learning initiatives. This includes just-in-time training approaches to ensure thorough understanding of the marketplace and tactical implementation of marketing strategy.

  • Design, develop and implements all field training materials and leads training logistics on new hire, advanced training, Regional and National meetings, partnering with other training and cross- functional team members.

  • Monitors effectiveness of Training against stated objectives. This includes conducting regular field rides, needs assessments and gap analysis to continuously improve the training content, approach, and delivery. (20%

  • Partners with the RBDs to develop and facilitate Training workshops at all Regional and National meetings

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the MLR /Medical Legal and Regulatory approval process. Works closely with external partners to develop and align on curriculum.

  • Works closely with the sales and training coordinator in managing current curriculum tracks in the LMS (US, CA, EMEA, etc.)


REQUIREMENTS



  • BA/BS Degree required

  • 8 years in the biopharmaceutical industry with at least 3 years of Commercial training/learning & development with a successful record of delivering quality training solutions in an adult learning environment

  • 30 % travel (Quarterly field rides, National and Regional meetings, Training classes, home office meetings, occasional walks and events)

  • Minimum of 5 years Neuro Sales experience and/or 10 years of rare disease preferred

  • Product Launch experience preferred.

  • Exceptional platform skills (virtual as well as live) as well as written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in delivering training using virtual training platforms (Teams, Zoom)

  • Strong understanding of current legal and regulatory requirements related to Training

  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) business writing skills.
