(USA) Clinical Informatics Specialist - Walmart Health

Position Summary...



What you'll do...



We are hiring a clinical informatics specialist at Walmart Health in Bentonville, Arkansas with the goal of enhancing our user experience and provide the best experience for our patients.



Develops an understanding of each clinical need and assesses whether existing builds meet needs. Identifies opportunities for the optimization of clinical processes and workflows to increase efficiency.



Plans, organizes, and assists in the implementation of projects to meet current and future technological needs that support the business goals of Walmart Health and Wellness.



Leads and assists with the creation of a sustainable long-term training strategy and program to support Walmart Health Omnichannel Care Clinics.



Develops, implements, and delivers optimized training materials to clinical staff.



Provides classroom and/or one-on-one training in health information systems for one or more Epic modules.



Assists with analyzing, designing, and implementing systems that improve the quality of care provided to patients, improve population health outcomes, enhance patient experiences, and increase provider efficiency.



Develops and organizes educational training programs to ensure proficiency within clinical service areas. Ensures applications are utilized for maximum efficiency and users are informed of new updates and revisions.



Provides strategic direction to the Clinical Informatics team in the creation, delivery, and assessment of clinical systems and technology.



Provides direction and assistance in clinical decision support and change management activities.



Collaborates with healthcare professionals using automation to ensure effective usage and understanding of automated systems.



Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.



Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications...

3 years' experience in an ambulatory practice or related area.

Prior work experience in role requiring knowledge of current legal guidelines and standards of care in specialty area.

3 years' experience in providing application-level (for example, Epic) education, testing, workflow, and support.

Current licensure in an allied healthcare profession (for example, Respiratory Therapy, Radiation Technology, EMT, Paramedic) as approved by the state of Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Arkansas, or Texas.

Associate's degree in informatics or related area.
