What you ll do


As the Demand Planning Manager, you will utilize consumption data and customer data to make changes to forecast analysis, executing changes based on accuracy analysis and other driving factors including history, trends, and promotions based on sales feedback. You'll be responsible for adjusting forecast numbers based on analysis, and this is how you will do it...


  • System statistical data - review trends, assumptions from the field and compile intelligence for data manipulation to create and maintain monthly SKU forecasts for assigned product categories within the Logility planning system; Managing 1500-2000 customer/item Demand Forecast Units (DFUs).

  • Own post-mortem analysis to identify gaps in forecast against actual performance, and make necessary decisions and changes to improve forecast accuracy for next month.

  • Merge business knowledge and expertise with statistical models in order to enhance the forecast while also integrating input from Sales, Marketing, and other key stakeholders

  • Work cross-functionally to create new product launch forecasts

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance demand planning processes, usage of stat models, system configuration and reporting tools

  • Provide forecast intelligence to supply planning to help drive KIND s ability to deliver targeted service level performance

  • Share ownership in company case fill service level performance

  • Participate in special projects, providing leadership as needed, including Annual Operating Process (AOP), cycle analysis/product exits, and other special projects as they arise.

  • Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Step 2: Consensus Demand Meeting

  • Lead conversation in IBP Step 2.

  • Pre-Step 2 Brand Review meeting to align on recommended demand forecast that incorporates inputs from Field Sales, Marketing, Finance & Supply Chain

  • Capture and maintain list of identified risks and opportunities that accompany the consensus forecast

  • Create meeting content for the KIND Leadership team (KLT) discussion at the monthly of Step 2 Demand Review meeting and responsible for presenting recommended consensus forecast to senior leadership months at Step 2 meeting

You have


  • 3-5 years of experience within Supply Chain, preferably in demand planning

  • Bachelor s degree in applicable field (e.g., business, supply chain, finance, marketing, etc)

  • Prior experience working in an Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process

  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, V-lookups, formulas, etc)

  • Demonstrated analytical, communication, and collaboration skills




Pluses


  • Demonstrated knowledge of Tier 1 ERP systems (preferably JDE) and Tier 1 Planning systems (preferably Logility)

  • Experience with statistical forecasting and maintaining demand plans for large and diverse SKU mixes across multiple categories

  • APICS Certification

The salary range for this role is $94,000 - 115,000 per year.
Please state your salary expectations in your application. KIND intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the total rewards that KIND provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. KIND provides a robust benefits package to help support you physically, financially, and emotionally through the big milestones and in your everyday life.
