Sterile Processing Educator, Wilson HospitalUnited Health Services is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our Wilson Medical Hospital team in Johnson City, NY.

The role includes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of education and training of the sterile processing staff, as well as coordinating education of new products, equipment and in-servicing.

UHS Wilson Medical Center is a 280-bed hospital and Level II Trauma Center. In this position, you'll serve a medical facility that is a regional leader in cardiac surgery, neurosurgery and neurosciences, cancer care, maternity and high-risk obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, blood disorder treatment, and physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Wilson is a bustling hospital and is a 24-hour designated stroke and chest pain center.Sterile Processing Educator Responsibilities and Expectations+ In collaboration with the Manager and Supervisors, this position will be responsible for maintaining sterile processing's instrument tracking system.

This includes ensuring staff is trained on the system and utilizing all functions properly. This person will work with the Manager and Supervisors to manage the content to ensure standardized data is maintained.

Position QualificationsMinimum Required : + 5 years Sterile Processing Technician experience to include technical knowledge of cleaning, decontamination and sterilization practices+ Certified Sterile Processing tech through either CBSPD or IAHSCMMPreferred : + Knowledge and experience in surgical instrumentation and regulatory standards+ Knowledge of instrument tracking system+ Leadership or lead role experience+ Project management experience+ OR SPD experienceEmployee Benefits at United Health ServicesWhen you work at United Health Services, you become part of our family.
