Glacier Hills is looking for a Health and Wellness Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of programs and services designed to enhance the well-being of the residents and staff. Serves as a resource for the wellness and fitness-related needs of the community.
Responsible for general supervision of the Wellness Connection while demonstrating appropriate knowledge and correct application of exercise prescription and programs. Champions the Wellness Philosophy to residents and staff. Serves as a positive ambassador of Glacier Hills both within and outside the facility.
PRIMARY RESONSIBILITIES
Provides a safe, secure, and clean environment for wellness center members.
Develops, instructs, and coordinates personalized and group wellness programs and monitors for effectiveness.
Researches opportunities and implements innovative wellness programming.
Assesses the educational needs of the residents and staff and provides learning opportunities to meet those needs.
Assists residents and employees with exercises as needed.
Develops relationships with the local community resources (hospitals, universities, etc.) to foster opportunities for outreach and integration.
Schedules and performs resident fitness assessments.
Coordinates the massage therapy schedule.
Encourages resident participation and celebrates individual successes and accomplishments.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science preferred
Licensure / Certification
None
Experience
Minimum of 1-year experience working with senior population/older adults required
