Certified Personal Trainer

The Hempfield recCenter is looking for Certified Personal Trainers to hire immediately. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Developing safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
• Monitoring and instructing clients during personal training sessions on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility and strength training equipment
• Conducting fitness consultations for new clients and including pre-participation screenings, medical history, lifestyle, and goal setting to assess and recommend personal training programs
• Promoting and selling personal training packages
• Completing all administrative requirements associated with each clients fitness plan
• Remaining current on all certifications and new trends in the industry
• Ensuring all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service
• Ability to offer approx. 6 week small group training sessions throughout the year

Key Qualifications:

• Nationally accredited personal training certification
• 1 year of personal training experience (preferred)
• Good communication skills; verbal, written and technical
• Have basic understanding of nutrition and healthy living practices (must stay within scope of practice with clients)
• Knowledgeable of a variety of exercise equipment and personal training methods
• Reliable transportation
• Strong and collaborative work ethic
• Flexible availability
• Must posses and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire date
• Pennsylvania state background clearance and child abuse clearance required
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. and perform athletic duties

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
