In 2017 we acquired an Alaska based logistics company to serve our customers with perishable and customer focused 3rd party logistics. The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the logistics processes through coordination with the front-line team supervisors. This position will ensure that customer and employee satisfaction is exceeded while seeking to maximize efficiency of processes and procedures. The logistics manager will also regularly review operational health, policy deployment, employee relations and community and customer interactions. Additional Compensation Details:

• Salary Dependent on Experience and Location of Role
• Potential 90-day performance-based raise
• Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure

The Role

Our Logistics Manager directs logistics processes through front line team supervisors. Ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower and methods. Meets or exceeds department plan/budget. The role/priorities of the CPL Logistics Manager include regularly reviewing the operational health and efficiencies of CPL, policy deployment, employee relations, process improvement and problem resolution.

Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To:

• Manages & creates policy deployment in the areas of budgeting, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, product & employee safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and process performance measures.
• Works with the Operations Manager for best product scheduling to increase efficiencies and reduce inefficient labor practices while maximizing quality.
• Provides leadership and direction to floor managers, freight sales and logistics coordinators.
• Provides leadership for employee relations
• This position shares responsibility for ensuring the overall product safety at Charlie's Produce.
• Active & participating member of Food Safety and HACCP Teams.
• Works with the CPL General Manager to build annual facility budgets to facilitate and lead to continued growth of the business.
• Manages compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Peripheral Duties:

• Special projects as assigned by the CPL General Manager.
• Maintain good relations with colleagues, vendors, customers both internal and external.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years managing experience, any of that time spent in management within the logistics industry being a plus
• Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
• Understanding of logistics and shipping methods to and around Alaska.
• Quality-minded orientation and attention to detail & process flow.
• Problem analysis and problem resolution.
• Building High performance leaders and strong teams.
• Intermediate MS Office and computer proficiency
• Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High degree of emotional intelligence.
