Revenue Accounting Manager

As Thrive Global's Revenue Accounting Manager, you will be a key member of our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all revenue is recognized, billed, and collected.
Who We Are Looking For
An ability to review contracts of various complexity and recognize revenue according to ASC 606
Someone with strong analytical skills who can apply those skills to improve various aspects of the revenue reporting and reconciliation processes
Someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills; you'll need to effectively collaborate across multiple teams within Thrive
A self-starter who can proactively take on tasks with a sense of urgency, manage multiple responsibilities, and generate a high volume of quality work
A track record of continuous improvement; you're not satisfied with the status quo and you're always looking for ways to improve business processes, reporting, and controls

How You'll Contribute
Execute the monthly revenue close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on a timely basis for reporting in accordance with US GAAP
Perform revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations and flux analysis
Ensure billing and collection are done timely and efficiently
Develop and refine best-in-class accounting processes and procedures for revenue reporting
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, FP&A, Customer Success and other key owners of policies, processes and programs.
Assist the team with ad hoc projects as needed
Support external and internal audit requests
Must Haves
Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting
5+ years of experience in public accounting or a corporate revenue accounting role
Mix of public accounting and industry experience preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
Experience using NetSuite and Salesforce preferred
Strong PC skills, including advanced Excel
Nice to Haves:
Operational accounting experience in a growing SAAS technology business
