    • Job Summary:




      • The Organizational Development Specialist assists in delivering leadership effectiveness initiatives through comprehensive training, education, and leadership development strategies. This role supports the NCH vision by creating training programs that prioritize and enhance individual, team, and organizational performance.



        This position will be working collaboratively with Human Resources (HR), The Center for Learning & Innovation (CFLI) and system wide subject matter experts to assist in the development and administration of leadership development initiatives. The duties of the position are tailored to meet the strategic needs of NCH and its leadership while aligning with company annual goals and objectives. This role reports directly to the Manager of Organizational Development.








    • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




        • Assists in research, analysis, and development of leadership training, education, and development of new programs. This includes identifying skill gaps, designing learning programs to fill these gaps, and aligning strategies with organizational goals.

        • Supports the design and development of instructional plans for e-Learning leadership programs, including project scope, learning needs assessments, learning objectives, and outcomes validation.

        • Collaborates with Professional Development Specialists/SMEs to analyze content, determine the target audience, develop instructional material, and validate learner objectives.

        • Works with Instructional Designer to create engaging online learning activities and assessment tools that measure learners' competency of course materials.

        • Collaborates with LMS Administrator to complete group assignments, course rule assignments, SCORM loads, and creates standard and custom reports.

        • Partners with other NCH leaders to facilitate in-house training and other programs as needed.

        • Coordinates communications through Marketing and Business Development leaders to ensure effective communication under the direction of the Organizational Development Manager.

        • Assist HR/CFLI deliver KFLS feedback coaching and succession planning activities.

        • Assesses the success of learning initiatives, through monitoring program performance, soliciting feedback, and conducting evaluations, refining, or restructuring programs as needed.

        • Coordinates with leaders to identify specific learning needs and provides solutions that positively impact results.

        • Assists departmental leadership or (SME) to design and deliver relevant content for training initiatives.

        • Assist Organizational Development Manager in needs assessments to evaluate current skills against business objectives and develops programs to close gaps.





    • Education, Experience, Qualifications:




        • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, (Human Resource Management/Development; Leadership Development; I/O Psychology; Clinical; Organizational Effectiveness) or equivalent.

        • Minimum of 3 years (in a healthcare setting preferred) of increasingly responsible professional experience in one or more of the following areas: organizational development, employee development, leadership development, project management, training program development, training delivery, curriculum design or related field.

        • Prior experience building and developing leadership training/curriculum preferred.

        • Consulting and influencing skills to bring multiple stakeholders to agreement and advocacy.

        • Understanding of supporting technology to drive efficient and effective talent management processes.

        • Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills with proven success on working on and delivering multiple projects at once.

        • Must act as a positive change agent and consistently demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in the

        • Strong learning orientation and mindset.

        • Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills, including establishing and tracking key metrics to determine overall effectiveness. 

        • Excellent presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills.
