Our Opportunity:Whiskerrsquo;s Resort Pet Spa is seeking an experienced Dog Bather to join our well-established grooming salon located in Kentwood,MI.Professional experience working in a face-paced dog grooming salon isinsstrongly preferred/ins.What will you do?middot;Bathe, dry and brush dogs to meet the high standards of our groomers in fast-paced environmentmiddot;Perform minor grooming tasks including ear-cleaning, oral hygiene, and basic nail trimmingmiddot;Maintain a clean and organized workspacemiddot;Continually develop an understanding of dog behaviors and tendenciesmiddot;Understand and ensure compliance with our standards of care to ensure safety and well-being of the pets in our care is always a top prioritymiddot;Maintain a sense of ownership in your work, a focus on finding solutions and a strong attention to getting it right the first timemiddot;Be coachable, solution focused and flexiblemiddot;Always be dependable and reliablemiddot;Support and relate to your colleagues and management with a ldquo;We are all ONE TEAMrdquo; attitudeWhat are we looking for?middot;Compassionate animal lovermiddot;Comfortable working with small and large breedsmiddot;Effective communication skills (verbal and listening)middot;Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. to place pets in/out bathing tubs and on/off grooming tablesmiddot;Must be able to stand for extended periods of timeemAbility to work varying shifts including early morning. evenings, weekends and holidays./emWe offer hourly pay starting at $10.00 plus tips.
