Clinical Practice Manager

Cedar Valley Medical Specialists is 100 percent independent and locally owned. Our staff of almost 400 includes specialized physicians as well as midlevel providers and support staff across dozens of healthcare specialties. Our Orthopedic office located on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa is seeking a Clinical Practice Manager who will be responsible for facilitating the daily operations of the clinic.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:

• 
  Overall management duties to ensure smooth day to day as well as long term operations of the department
• 
  Implement clinic processes for efficiency in patient care experience
• 
  Staffing management to scheduling, performance evaluations, education, and leadership
• 
  Work closely with physician and midlevel to ensure operational strategies align with staff and financial success
• 
  Assist clinical staff and front desk staff as needed
• 
  Handle risk management and patient advocacy
• 
  Coordinate development & implementation of patient care protocols
• 
  Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding
• 
  Other duties as assigned

• RN/BSN
• 
  2-3 years of management in healthcare setting; orthopedics/or clinic experience preferred
• 
  Computer literacy
• 
  Strong leadership qualities, critical thinking skills, and effective empathetic verbal and nonverbal communication skills
