Background & Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this job is to manage the end to end delivery of the capital projects associated with the site's FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) manufacturing and packaging equipment. Involvement in the process area of the plant, although not the primary focus, would also be within the position's scope. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the planning and day to day management of assigned projects. Specifically, the projects are to be executed utilizing the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) element of Early Equipment Management (EEM) along with standard / best practices associated with project management. This process begins by developing project scope, cost, timeline, resource plan and then establishing stakeholder alignment. As the project evolves, feedback is solicited to identify and address any loss / weakness associated with previous similar projects in the areas of safety, operational efficiency, equipment maintainability, quality, environmental impact .... The solution proposed and implemented will be optimized to deliver the lowest project life cycle cost. Core responsibilities are project / construction safety and risk management as well as the overall project integration. The position reports to the Site Engineering Manager.
