Our Unilever Hammond, Indiana facility is the home of the Dove Beauty bar, one of Unilever's biggest brands and the largest soap factory within the US. Background & Purpose of the Job
The Human Resources Business Partner is head of HR for the factory who will strategically partner with Factory Leadership to optimize our people agenda. This includes but is not limited to Talent Management / Succession Planning, Organizational and Leadership Development, Employee Engagement, Change Management, Employee Advocacy, Conflict Resolution, People Development. This role not only helps tie the leadership team and employees together but also owns the factory's relationships in the community. It's not about just making quality products; rather how you lead people to see themselves as part of something bigger.

Who You Are & What You'll Do
- Collaborates with the business to translate business priorities into a strategic and quantifiable people agenda
- Maintains an external perspective, anticipates people trends, and embeds it into HR strategy.
- Utilizes the talent development process and tools delivered by the Expertise Teams to develop, cultivate and maintain a diverse talent pipeline
- Monitor employee climate to identify issues/trends and develop recommendations for problem solving as appropriate.
- Maintain positive labor relations by cultivating the site's union relationship, understanding & managing through a Collective Bargaining Agreement compliance with established internal HR policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- BA/BS Required. MBA or Master(s) is desirable.
- 5+ Years' experience as HR Manager/HR Business Partner, preferably in a Consumer Packaged Goods setting.
- Union Experience mandatory
- People management and development
- Ability to impact and influence different areas of the organization. History of developing and implementing strategic plans to meet business agenda
