Job Title: Quality Improvement Specialist

Reports To: Senior Director of Data and Operational Planning

Location: Boston

Overview:



Oversee the day-to-day compliance and training of Heading Homes Family and Individual Services programs utilizing ETO, Clarity and VESTA Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) and Heading Homes Salesforce case management software. The Quality Assurance Specialist will act as a liaison within the organization to facilitate data entry and ensure accuracy and quality control for all aspects of HMIS and other applicable software.



Responsibilities:




  • Track and report accuracy and completeness of HUD, DHCD-required data elements and internal data requirements through canned and custom reporting

  • Meet with program staff to address current data collection protocols and program requirements

  • Provide technical and data entry support for HMIS and Salesforce in-person or via phone, email and remote access sessions for all locations within the Greater Boston area

  • Identify trends in data errors and inconsistences with program staff for training purposes

  • Prepare standardized training materials on data elements, data entry and the use of HMIS and Salesforce

  • Facilitate a data entry, HMIS and Salesforce helpdesk with program staff on an as-needed basis

  • Facilitate training workshops on an as-needed basis

  • Maintain knowledge of HUDs HMIS Data Standards and DHCDs Data Dictionary and any changes to required data collection efforts

  • Attend weekly programmatic leadership meetings and take meeting minutes to ensure the meetings are recorded in an accurate manner

  • Attend DHCD and local Continuum of Care meetings with the Senior Director of Data and Operational Planning (or as their designee)

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Data and Operational Planning to design and conduct audits and various research projects

  • Complete independent projects as assigned




  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications: (education, years of experience, knowledge base, skills)




  • Bachelors Degree

  • Prior experience of Salesforce Case Management Software preferred but not required

  • Proficiency in all other Microsoft Office products (e.g. PowerPoint)

  • Ability to convey detailed information, instructions and ideas accurately in writing and verbally to a wide range of colleagues with varying degrees of data expertise

  • Leadership skills with the ability to respond appropriately to various situations, make sound decisions and assist fellow team members, including members of other departments

  • Ability to define problems, collect data and information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and/or interpret basic trends

  • Ability to create data visualizations

  • Must be able to relate to persons of diverse backgrounds and functioning levels

  • Prior experience at a Human Services Agency or Non-Profit preferred but not required
