Job Summary
The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for all nutrition and wellness information and activity in the assigned accounts. They support, coordinate, and measure nutrition and wellness initiatives and provide nutrition education, training and guidance for assigned accounts and Compass Group associates as needed. They work collaboratively with district managers, dining services directors, chefs and marketing managers to promote and support corporate nutrition goals, objectives, strategies and policies, to implement wellness related programs and initiatives, and to ensure compliance with FDA nutrition labeling laws.
Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian- Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND) Certification and State Licensure, where applicable
Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition or related field of study, Master of Science in Nutrition or a related field optional
3+ years professional experience
Serve-Safe certification required, but we can train once hired
Advanced written and oral communication skills; ability to apply complex mathematical concepts
Strong presentation and time management skills; advanced computer skills, leadership skills, advanced problem solving skills and outstanding interpersonal skills
Familiarity with nutrition analysis software
Culinary and/ or foodservice experience preferred
Ability to travel up to 10%
