February 2023 RN Mental Health Unit Residency
$10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Day shift and Night shift available.
An RN Residency with Providence provides the foundation and support essential to becoming an expert in your specialty. Learn through a combination of structured curriculum, simulation, and authentic patient experiences guided by preceptors. If you are a recently graduated RN, with less than 12 months of experience, then the Providence resident program has exciting opportunities for you.
Required qualifications:
Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 3 years of hire -or-
Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultation with the Human Resources leader.
RNs employed prior to 1/1/17 are encouraged to obtain a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Nursing, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment
Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
Completed a pre-licensure nursing program and is newly licensed. Length of time since graduation can vary; however, typically is less than 12 months from graduation
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing upon hire
National Certification in area of specialty upon hire
