Recreation/ Activities Coordinator

Summary: We are looking to hire a dynamic and ambitious individual to serve as the Activity coordinator for our assisted living facility in Albany NY. The Activity coordinator will facilitate a variety of recreational activity programs geared to meet individual, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating a monthly activity calendar for residents;

• Implementing recreation activities that are scheduled on the monthly activity calendar;


• Assisting in coordinating appropriate entertainment;


• Taking direction from Executive Director;


• Engaging and motivating residents to partake in daily social, physical and cognitive activities as planned;


• Maintaining records of all activities and resident participation levels of each activity;


• Creating events in alignment with occupancy rates and needs of residents;


• Purchasing appropriate arts, crafts and supplies for scheduled activities;


• Planning, organizing and scheduling diversified and stimulating activities with sufficient supervision as necessary;


• Implementing programs with appropriate religious services;


• Decorate rooms and other facility areas for holidays, birthday parties and theme parties;


• grams to enlist volunteers within community to aid in resident and assisted living facility activities for all departments;


• Covering front desk as needed;
  
• assists residents on community outings, and during resident special events/holiday celebrations;


• Performing other duties as needed and/or assigned.
