- Under the general direction of the Supervisor and will maintain proper staffing based upon census and acuity.
- The team leader will monitor productivity and assure that all therapists are complying with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Assure compliance with blood gas quality control, ekg editing, and other assignments as directed.
- The team leader will be a liaison with physicians and nursing house supervisors, to resolve clinical issues as they occur, and then report them to the supervisor.
- Other duties will include chart audits and supply ordering, and other duties as directed by the supervisor.
- The team leader provides care for birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.
- Graduate from a Respiratory Therapy Program.
- Required license with the State of Missouri Respiratory Board and credentialed with NBRC as CRT or RRT. If CRT, RRT must be obtained within 12 months.
- Three years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
