South Florida Gastroenterologist Physician Locums Job in Florida Need Eight to Twelve Weeks of Coverage through 2022
Jackson & Coker is partnered with a Gastroenterology group in the Miami area that is in need of GI locum tenens coverage for eight to twelve weeks per year. This opportunity is strictly Monday through Friday outpatient/ASC/inpatient procedure coverage with no night or weekend call coverage needs.
Specific Dates of Coverage Needed:
- Seeking two consecutive weeks of Monday through Friday coverage between the weeks of July 18 to August 12 (willing to consider what you can offer)
- Six to eight weeks of coverage while the lead physician has surgery between the months of September to November
- December 26-30 and January 2-6
Details/Requirements for Assignment :
- Coverage need: 8-12 weeks of coverage per year (current coverage requests noted above)
- Location: Miami, Florida
- Active Florida license required + Board Certification required
- Monday-Friday coverage only; no night or weekend call coverage needs (large GI group covers ED at facility + practice NP takes call as needed)
- General schedule (can change as needed): Monday + Friday inpatient procedure days for AM portion of the day (8A-11/12PM) followed by clinic consultations, Tuesday-Thursday ASC procedure days in the AM (generally starting earlier at 6-6:30 AM) followed by clinic consultations in the afternoon
- Bread & Butter GI coverage; no advanced procedures required
- One Nurse Practitioner in clinic, will require supervision
- Average a total of 30-35 patients per day between procedures and consultatio
