The Athletics Director position is responsible for the overall leadership and coordination of all Resurrection Christian School athletic programs.ABOUT RCS:Resurrection Christian School is a private, non-denominational Christian college-preparatory school located in Loveland, Colorado.

Founded in 1998 by Rez.Church, Resurrection Christian School serves students from Pre-K through12th grade.

RCS is the largest Christian school in Northern Colorado, serving nearly 900 families from 19 communities over a 25-mile radius.

School enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year K through 12th is approximately 1,400 students.

RCS is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI); AdvancED.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Staff Supervision Perform basic personnel administration duties including hiring, orienting, assigning work, scheduling, disciplining, and dismissing of department employees.Provide ongoing feedback and conduct performance evaluations.Mediate conflict resolution between any department employee and the members of the administration, school staff, student body and/or parents.

Implement disciplinary actions as necessary.Work with the athletic department employees in acquiring best practice skills and professional development.Implement and convey policies and procedures, analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and implement recommendations in support of goals of the department.Athletics Develop and administer program goals, objectives, and the long-range plans to attain and maintain the vision and mission of RCS High School and Middle School athletics.Provide leadership and coordination of all athletic and activity programs for the district.Implement and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection and safety of the athletes, coaches and the athletic department's assets in accordance with state (CHASSA) and federal statutes and district policies.Create and maintain annual operating and capital budgets for athletic programs consistent with the district procedures.

Administer applicable annual budgets and ensure fiscal accountability for expenditures.

Recommend to administration of appropriate student participation athletic fees.Plan, conduct and facilitate staff and coach meetings on a regular basis to ensure the effective functioning of all athletics programs.Supervise and direct the coaching staff to ensure that state (CHSAA) requirements, federal statutes and district rules are adhered to.Represent the school as appropriate at various state (CHSAA), regional and national athletic associations and meetings.Evaluate each athletic program on an ongoing basis to maintain adequate coaching staff.

Make recommendations to administrators, superintendent and school board as needed.Ensure the athletic department programs and organizational structure is appropriate for supporting the district's current and future needs.Develop and implement appropriate rules and regulations governing the conduct of athletic activities, participants and observers.

Create and maintain the RCS Code of Conduct for all Athletes policy.Provide an open-door atmosphere through which students, parents/guardians, school staff and the community members may express concerns about athletic programs.

Act as a mediator to resolve issues, concerns or problems.Inspect facilities and athletic fields for health and safety concerns and make recommendations for improvements.Coordinate gym use for practices and games and give final clearance for the use of the gyms or the athletic fields.Prepare a master calendar that includes conference and non-conference games/events.Coordinate travel arrangements and overnight accommodations for teams and coaches.Attend and supervise home and away athletic events.Collect from the coaches rosters of participating athletes prior to the first contest.

Maintain records of rosters as appropriate.Ensure all student athletes are eligible to participate and have all fees paid.Ensure proper student form(s) (insurance, attendance, medical) are obtained and maintained as required.Ensure each member of the athletic staff maintains appropriate certification(s) and complete all personal development training (state associations, clinics, NFHS opportunities, etc.) as required.Ensure necessary athletic reports are prepared, including reports for district, state (CHSAA) and federal compliance purposes.Schedule game officials for each home athletic event, ensure contracts are signed, ensure payment arrangements are made and maintain an active file of officials.Ensure each home athletic event has game workers, ticket takers, announcers, clock operators, scorekeepers, line judges, etc.Supervise the coaches in the cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms, including the maintenance of updated inventories.

Coordinates and collaborates with the Chief Development Officer and Development Department on fundraising initiatives.Meets regularly with the Chief Development Officer to strategize and implement athletics related major gift, annual giving, and rise up campaign programs.Attend school board meetings and makes presentations to the Board of Education regarding athletic programs, as requested.Ensure the Athletic Trainer maintains adherence of appropriate medical and safety requirements.Provide leadership for and serve as liaison to district athletic booster clubs and fundraising committees.SKILLS:Skilled at oral and written communication.Skilled at basic math.Skilled at personal computer and keyboarding.Skilled at customer service and public relations.Skilled at critical thinking and problem solving.KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of mandated reporting of child abuse and neglect.Knowledge of CHSAA's rules, regulations, policies and procedures.Knowledge of athletic management/administration and Title IX.Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other department related software packages.Knowledge of sports and athletic equipment use and best practices.Knowledge of sound system operations.ABILITIES:Able to recognize child abuse and child neglect signs and symptomsAble to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.Able to travel to athletic contest whether at home or away.Able to host athletic events during evenings, weekends and long hours during busy athletic seasons.Able to manage multiple priorities and multi-task with frequent interruptions.Able to diffuse and manage stressful situations.Able and willing to carry a cell phone, be on call and respond 24/7 as needed.Able to work in a team environment as well as collaboratively with others at the school, competitive teams and the community at large.RCS Statement of Faith - please read prior to completing the application.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Salary Range: Starting at $75,000Benefit Eligibility:All salaried employees working 30 or more hours per work week are considered full-time and eligible to receive the benefits listed in the Benefits section.

A Type D educational certificate is preferred.

Previous experience and a proven track record as a High School Athletic Director or coach is a must.

Maintaining a good standing with Colorado High School Athletic Association is a must.

This individual must have a current or able to obtain a valid Colorado driver's license.Must have excellent planning skills, be highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities.

Must be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet benchmarks and goals in a timely fashion.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation and management skills are required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The Athletics Director must be able to work in an office and outdoor environment with some exposure to extreme temperatures and a variety of weather conditions.

Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time.

Must be able stoop, kneel, bend, reach and pick up or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and possess normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
