Job Description Salary: $18.00/hr to start
ABOUT THE COMPANY: Since opening in 1994, Tribeca Pediatrics has provided top level pediatric care to NYC families. We now have over 30 locations throughout the NYC metro area and provide a vital resource to the children and families in the communities in which we serve. JOB DESCRIPTION: Tribeca Pediatrics Medical Assistants provide direct patient care to children in a clinical setting. They communicate with the pediatricians to provide a high level of service and care. Medical assistants are responsible for administering labs, screenings, drawing up vaccines and medications. They also maintain the medical inventory and supplies of the office and ensure a clean, functional and professional work environment. Customer service and a love for children is a must.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient intake, measure vital signs and record patient's chief complaint in the electronic medical record system
Maintain a friendly, supportive and professional demeanor with patients and colleagues
Administering and preparing send- out laboratory specimens and vaccines
Perform in-office lab tests (i.e. strep testing, HGB, Lead, etc.)
Perform routine screening tests and surveys such vision screening and hearing tests
Schedule appointments
Maintain office logs, vaccine and supply inventories
Adhere to practice policies around HIPAA compliance and staff and patient safety
Complete charts and tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Potential assignment as a trainer after 90-day review. Training bonus offered.
QUALIFICATIONS
Pre Med, & CMA New Grads Welcome
Medical Assistant experience preferred but training is provided
Warm and friendly customer service skills
Time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
Open availability (Weekend availability wanted!)
SALARY
Starting rate -$18.00/hr with opportunity for increase in 90 days after hire
