Overview


Hire Velocity is seeking a driven Sr. HR Specialist, Wellness and Benefits for our client in the logistics industry based in the Inselin, NJ.


 


Duties and ResponsibilitiesWellness Program



  • Lead Wellness Program design and work with internal and external partners to improve the design and content of program.

  • Lead annual Wellness Program strategy planning (2-3 days offsite, to include HR Director, Benefits Manager, HR or Wellness Ambassador representative for each division); outcome to include an annual project calendar

  • Create content for monthly wellness newsletter

  • Review medical claims, ensuring confidentiality, use the data to determine appropriate measures, content, locations, etc. to implement/host initiatives that will better member medical outcomes

  • Create principles that guide program design and adaptation for physical and mental wellness benefits programs

  • Communicate value of new or changing wellness benefits programs and provide recommendations regarding the overall cost of proposed changes

  • Act as a thought leader and project manager in implementing wellness benefits programs; develop change and readiness plans

  • Provide advice and guidance to others within and across teams (e.g., office, warehouse, wellness ambassadors) using your area of expertise to improve and integrate plans and materials before and during program implementation, and for ongoing management; you ensure alignment with internal teams' programs and other systems; you act as the program spokesperson to communicate change.

  • Facilitate the promotion and awareness of DSV’s wellness benefits programs by communicating and presenting program value to internal employees and management

  • Lead vendor evaluation, requests for proposals, and selection

  • In partnership with Director HRSS, establish vendor relationships and negotiate competitive service contracts (for new and current vendors) to define performance targets and deliverables. You lead implementations for new vendor solutions.

  • Recommend guidelines and standards for vendor performance; you maintain or improve vendor performance by monitoring and identifying performance issues; you address vendor-delivery issues and ensure resolutions to performance issues. You ensure the vendor meets all contractual requirements.

  • Creates internal and external reports for projects, audits, and monthly reconciliationneeds.

  • Ensures compliance with County policies, State/Federal laws, regulations and mandates related to benefits and wellness programs such as COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.

  • Research and evaluate complex benefit issues; develop effective solutions and options; develops costing and implementation proposals

  • Attend five online wellness webinars annually (WELCOA or similar organization)

  • Complete 2-3 workplace wellness certifications annually through WELCOA membership


HR Shared Services



  • Helpdesk ticket resolution and assignment

  • Puerto Rico 401k plan admin, contributions, payroll changes, enrollments

  • Puerto Rico benefit plan management, auditing, and billing

  • ADP enrollment issue resolution backup

  • Death counseling and EAP support, removal from benefits and COBRA

  • Employee 1:1 contact and meetings

  • Manage DSV Central US HR pages

  • Supports the administration of the annual open enrollment for welfare plans and communicates plan changes to employees

  • All other duties as assigned, including interim coverage of coworker’s tasks as requested by manager


Educational background / Work experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years’ experience with corporate wellness benefits, managing Employee Assistance

  • Programs, and strategy design related to mental and emotional wellbeing

  •  Experience with supplier selection and supplier management

  • 1-2 years of project management experience

  • 2+ years’ experience writing wellness newsletters

  • Must have strong and proven analytical skills, and be detail-oriented, accurate in maintaining records and electronic filing systems

  • Preferred: CEBS designation or equivalent benefits/wellness certification
