Health and Human Performance Instructor: Athletics Coaching
The College of Idaho invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach a number of
courses related to athletics coaching and sport pedagogy over the upcoming 2023-2024
year. We seek candidates who share the College’s commitment to creating an equitable and
inclusive academic community through their teaching, mentoring, scholarly activity, and
service.
The Health and Human Performance Department offers programs in Exercise Science,
Human Performance, Health Promotion, and Coaching. The successful candidate will
support the department’s programs by teaching courses in team sports skills, coaching
methods, and sports officiating. Additional consideration will be given to a candidate with
experience teaching sport psychology or courses in human health and wellness.
Qualifications
A master’s degree with demonstrated teaching history in higher education or a doctoral
degree by the beginning of the fall 2023 term in any field related to exercise science is
required. Experience in the practice of coaching in sport is expected. Professional
doctorates such as doctorates of physical therapy or athletic training are welcome. Strength
and conditioning certifications, personal training certifications are highly desirable, but not
necessary.
