We are currently looking to hire an Finance Associate Manager based in Mount Crawford, VA! Reporting to the Plant Controller, this role will serve as an integral part of the local Finance team and serve as an on-site resource with an emphasis on our normal day to day activities, budgeting, forecasting, and month end closing activities.
The other primary objective of this position is producing timely, accurate, reliable, and relevant financial information regarding manufacturing cost and financial performance of a plant site.In this role, you will be responsible for:
Work collaboratively with Plant Management Team, Corporate Finance and Corporate Accounting to ensure accounting needs of the plant site are met.Supervise, train, and evaluate supporting staff.Attend key plant operations meetings including but not limited Daily Manufacturing KPI review meetings, close review, Protein reviews, Productivity meetings, etc.Manage month-end close functions including the development of month-end journal entries; reconciling related balance sheet accounts; month-end analysis and variance explanations; ensuring proper cut-off and reconciling variances; reviewing trial balance for accuracy; communicating significant or unusual business matters.Provide complete, accurate and timely financial reporting on a routine and ad hoc basis to a variety of stakeholder groups on key performance indicators relevant to manufacturing cost and financial performance of the plant site.Assist with the development of annual budgets, periodic financial forecasts, and product costing.Assist manufacturing leaders in identifying and troubleshooting manufacturing cost issues.
Proactively identify manufacturing cost issues, losses & waste trends for local management and as needed for corporate support.Manage against established internal controls and educate plant personnel on controls as required, audit and ensure compliance to established controls as required.
Ensure compliance with Company policies.
Foster a culture that encourages the highest level of integrity and ethical behavior.
Other duties would also include assisting with warehousing and non-beverage manufacturing needs.Other duties as assignedAbout You:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance required5 years post-college experience in Manufacturing-based financial analysis (preferred) SAP (FI, CO, MM modules) proficiency Strong Excel (report formatting with automation/macros, data mining, functions) Strong analytical and interpersonal support skills (Data driven and team engager) Learning agility / comfortable in a fast-paced and highly flexible environment Strong organizer who can handle constant interruption while keeping eyes on target Ability to quickly summarize data and capture quickly changing assumptions Experience in Dairy and/or Food manufacturing environment a plus Skill set in understanding Labor constraints, Impact of scheduling on Cost a plus Self-motivation and desire to progress to higher, more demanding roles within FinanceTeam player with the ability to work independentlyAt Danone North America, you'll work with some of the best-known food and beverage brands in the world like Activia, Silk, Horizon Organic, Two Good, Oikos, evian, and Happy Family.
