We are located in Torrance, California, are an Equal Opportunity Employer, and seek an experienced Expeditor II for immediate hire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturing company that distributes globally. The successful candidate must have experience in a GMP compliant manufacturing environment preferably involving packaging equipment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Work with Procurement to ensure good communication with raw material and packaging component availability as required to meet customer needs.
• Assist in planning for manufacturing and packaging batches based on data received from Sales & Marketing as well as historical data.
• Coordinate production workflow with Manufacturing and Packaging department heads.
• Track all manufacturing batches through procurement, manufacturing, and QA.
• Track all packaging batches from time of release to final transfer to the Logistics facility
• Work with production and inspection to provide ECDs to Sales.
• Determine the optimal quantity and timing of releasing packaging batches to production based on current inventory and capacity
• Follow up with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Packaging managers/supervisors on workflow and schedules.

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in production planning.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel (Pivot Tables and vlookups).
• Knowledge of MRP & ERP systems.
• CPIM Certified.

 

Education Requirements:

• B.S. Degree (preferred).
