Dean of students

Polk County Public Schools is looking for an adaptable, independent, and detail-oriented Dean of Students (Admin. Asst. Sch.

to join the team at Blake Academy. Ideal applicants meet the following education and experience requirements : · Bachelor's degree in any field is required, preferably in the field of education.

In addition, applicants must meet one of the following : 1. hold or be deemed eligible to hold a Florida Professional Certificate in Educational Leadership-or-2.

hold or be deemed eligible to hold a Florida Teaching Certificate in any subject plus provide documentation that the applicant is enrolled in an educational leadership program.

Dean of Students helps to foster a positive, engaging and caring atmosphere, and a healthy community by providing support and leadership opportunities that enable students to flourish.

Proactively and effectively communicates with parents. Works closely with the school administration, counselors, teachers, and support staff in providing support for Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) best practices.
