Job description As our Outside Sales Representative (salary plus commission), you are responsible for developing new business and while maintaining and growing with our present clients to increase sales and margin of our products in the commercial lighting industry.

Your primary focus is to develop new business and capture all local projects that specify our lines.

You will manage our accounts to meet sales revenue goals by assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services and/or solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.

You will engage with all levels of our client’s organizations including technical, operations, supply chain and executive management.

You will develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals and/or product demonstrations.

A wide degree of creativity, community engagement and a keen passion for lighting and design are required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Qualify accounts by determining market potential and provides periodic territory sales forecasts.

Prospect potential customers, including cold calling and developing leads through referral channels.

Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.

Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.

Ensure client satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale.

Maintain communication with existing and previous clients, alerting them to new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.

Develop sales/supplier plans to drive account growth and retention while utilizing sales management tools to track and measure progress.

Develop strong relationships with vendors, including performing regular joint sales calls and events.

Provide quotations directly or in conjunction with sales support team.

Mentor sales team and communicate relevant vendor information and expectations for optimum customer service.

Access customers and prospects, conduct needs assessments and increase market share Maintain a structured sales call schedule; Minimum of 10 client visits per week Maintain and grow work with our present clients Collaborate with other Sales Associates to support overall market growth Participate in networking and trade associations, attending events to create brand awareness, identify new prospects and build relationships in the local market Develop a comprehensive knowledge of Inform’s lighting lines through vendor trainings and independent study Plan and execute showroom lighting events from casual happy hours, lunch and learns to product launches and panel discussions Occasionally assist in the showroom when needed Successful candidate is able to work full-time Monday-Friday and start immediately.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time Monday to Friday Weekend availability job Open View public job page 3 years sales experience, and minimum 1 years of outside sales experience 4 years preferred of A&D industry experience with industry connections.

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred or equivalent experience Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry a plus Excellent written and verbal skills with experience in public speaking and leading professional presentations Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities Keen eye for design and creativity Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation Requires an independent, proactive and self-motivated person who will offer exceptional service to our clients Bachelor’s Degree - Marketing, Sales, Business, Engineering or related field preferred.

Ability to work flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.

Excellent sales and negotiation skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and able to develop and deliver presentations.

Effective professional communicator both written and verbally.

Ability to work in team environment.

Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.

Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques preferred.

Some travel requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
