General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a **Deputy Program Manager** for a $100M+ digital engineering design, development, production, and transition effort for an upcoming US Air Force Program in support of the next generation of the US Strategic Deterrent Forces.
The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution which enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s lifecycle. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated “virtually” on the Government’s network infrastructure and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development.
The **Deputy Program Manager** will report to the Program Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to day-to-day program execution management, program support, staffing, and deliverable management.
**Required Skills:**
+ 10+ years of experience working directly with clients and multiple providers of IT services
+ Must possess strong communication and team building skills
+ Must have a strong personal drive for delivering industry-leading Customer support, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a proactive focus
+ Organized and analytical, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
+ Ability to overcome obstacles and obtain results under tight deadlines
+ Must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization
+ Must be prepared for moderate travel to client site(s)
**Desirable qualifications include:**
+ Current PMP certification
+ Current Top Secret preferred
+ MBA with 10 or more years of experience in defense and program management
**Security Clearance:**
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or greater clearance
**Work Location**
+ HOME, 100% remote
**Travel**
+ < 20% travel
