The ideal candidate for this job must be at least 18 years old. This position is a Monday through Friday 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm position with the opportunity to substitute teach for additional hours. This job is ideal for college students seeking a degree in early childhood or other child-related programs that are able to work part-time while attending classes. We are looking for energetic, caring individuals who are willing to complete the 45 hour requirement set forth by the Department of Children and Families as well as CPR and First Aid training if it has not already been obtained. Candidates have one year from the time of employment to complete this requirement.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee afternoon activities in the classroom.
- Maintain DCF regulations and requirements.
- Maintain a professional attitude and friendly demeanor.
- Ensure the health and safety of all children.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- After school
- Monday to Friday
