Additionally, the position serves as a resource for employer and employee payroll-related information requests and is responsible for the accurate maintenance of all general ledger accounts related to payroll transactions.We require:Knowledge of financial accounting theory, a thorough understanding of payroll procedures and tax laws and regulations at federal, state and local levels.Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as computer literacy with specific knowledge of spreadsheet applications.Preferred:High school diploma or GED.We're proud to share that Virginia Mason Medical Center was recognized among the Best Hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News & World Report.
