Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, organized, service-oriented person to provide quotes, process enrollment applications, renewals, and service inquiries on group health cases for independent health insurance agents. The ideal candidate must possess excellent customer service skills, be detail oriented, proficient with computers and have an ability to meet strict deadlines. Experience with group health insurance is preferred but not required.


Responsibilities

  • Be knowledgeable in all health and ancillary product lines offered through PIPAC, including plan designs and the sales, enrollment, and customer service processes.

  • Advise and educate agents on employee group benefits for their customers.

  • Understand and promote agent quoting and enrollment tools.

  • Process applications and service requests in a timely manner, reviewing for accuracy and completeness for carrier submission and provide relevant follow up to agents.

  • Update database and properly save all relevant information in electronic filing system.

  • Provide backup support to other team members as directed by department manager/coordinator.


Knowledge and skill requirements

  • Associates Degree in business from an accredited college or technical school preferred

  • 2-3 years office experience and/or customer service-related experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with computer programs and Microsoft Office applications

  • Must be highly organized and a self-starter

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy are critical attributes

  • Proactive and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • A team-player with a positive, can-do attitude
