The Production Manager is responsible for the overall production process, staff, budget, on time due dates, finished quality of each sign, and safety and compliance of the production facility/area. This includes, project planning and scheduling, assuring accuracy of order specifications, resource allocation, profitability and control, providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality standards and client requirements. Continuous improvement to lean manufacturing. Providing leadership, mentorship, coaching and hands on support to the manufacturing team and joining the leadership team for ASI St. Louis.

• Oversee production staff; lead, manage, train, and develop production employees
• Project planning, scheduling, identifying resources needed to complete all projects on time.
• Normal hours of operations of the facility are 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday Thursday and 7:00 am to 11:00 am Friday.
• Develop and implement process and procedures to improve each department and employee efficiencies, document each process/procedure to create manuals of operation.
• Develop and implement daily schedule for each department.
• Manage project deadlines and monthly due dates.
• Hold regular staff meetings to ensure specific project goals and company goals are being met.
• Manage the performance of all employees ensuring they are trained and able to execute all duties and responsibilities accurately. Establish hiring practices and deliver 30/60/90-day reviews.
• Work with project management team to meet project needs.
• Ensure project documents are complete and accurately specified per the needs of the project.
• Create and promote culture of safety within each department.
• Develop and maintain company safety plan.
• Develop strategies to ensure customer due dates are met and plant optimization is attained.
• Assist in the development of standard product lines.
• Develop inventory controls.
• Implementation and oversight of project schedules and assignments through proper pre-coordination, resource management and follow-up.
• Charting out the project objectives, schedule and plans, setting performance requirements for each department, and see these are met daily.
• Development of effective communications assigning project tasks and resolving conflicts within manufacturing processes.

• Understanding of exterior and interior architectural and ADA sign construction and installation of such type projects.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of MS Office (word, excel) and Adobe creative suite.
• Excellent communication skills, able to lead a team of production staff, and able to work with project management department.
• Strong ability to manage 12 20 production employees.
• Ability to work independently and still meet project timelines.
• Display strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
• Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
• Capacity to motivate, lead and boost the morale of the teams.
• Capacity to handle schedule pressure and aggressive timelines.
• Manage absenteeism and turnover in each department.
• Team player attitude.

• A four-year bachelor s degree in business or similar field is desired but not required in lieu of experience
• 3-5 years of experience in sign construction or similar type project environments. 5-7 years preferred
• Candidate must have a Valid Driver License
