Description:An experienced Engineer is needed to perform as a Product and Design Services (P&DS) Engineering & Technology Manager (ETM) as well as four types of services in a diverse role supporting both the Integrated Air & Defense line of business and the MFC enterprise related tool set objectives. The responsibilities include: 1) Performing drawing check functions for, electrical and electronic packaging engineering drawings and specifications. 2) Provide technical expertise to the engineering staff relative to ProE/CREO model definition, optimized for drawing construction. 3) Leverage ProE/CREO modelling expertise to support Model Based Definition (MBD) tools, methodology, and training development. 4) Develop and provide MBD expertise across the engineering staff.

Candidate will be required to perform all functions associated with the review and documentation of checking process which includes but are not limited to format (all drawing types), specification compliance, completeness, accuracy, soundness, ASME Y14.100, and Military standards. Knowledge of fabrication, installation, and assembly techniques, interface validity, tolerance analysis and ASME Y14.5 GD&T, BOM verification, data management, knowledge of quality and configuration control methods (Engineering Change requests and Change Notices). Person should be proficient in the use of ProE/CREO or Catia V5, Windchill PLM, Model Based Definition (MBD) with a working knowledge of electronic packaging and Pro-E/CREO and model checking skills.

As an E&T Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the management and development of their team, support of functional department initiatives and directorate undertakings, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution. The E&T Manager is responsible for providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, and continuous feedback, being their employees advocate. The E&T Manager is also responsible for coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development. The candidate will be required to work with the other E&T Managers within the COE to establish and grow the COE.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

- Experience with ProE/CREO

- Configuration management and Windchill release workflow experience

- ASME GD&T Tolerance stack experience and application

- Ability and background to be an ASME/MIL-STD engineering SME

- Familiarity with Model-Based engineering

- Ability to support onsite 2days/wk, or as required by program(s)
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

- Ability to develop and implement process improvement initiatives to improve checking organization processes and talent development

- Packaging and System experience utilizing LM Product Development Processes or equivalent

- SME on 3D modeling intent and model quality and can support MBD initiatives to enhance the implementation of DX adoption for both Designers, checkers, and the MBD Core Team

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
