Medical Assistant
The Pearl Health Center is looking for an enthusiastic experienced medical assistant, with experience with pediatrics, to assist with an ongoing vaccination event. This position is currently being offered as a temporary position although may have an option to stay on at the clinic full time. Medical assistants at Pearl Health Center assist the clinical staff in performing their duties and carry out the necessary functions required in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Job responsibilities at Pearl Health Center
*Room patients quickly, in anticipation of their arrival and check in status
*Prepare patient for examination
*Note brief history and the chief complaint in patient's chart
*Take and record vital signs
*Perform point of care testing
*complete lab and imaging orders for the providers
*Administer injections as instructed
*Assist the medical staff in patient education
*Stock exam rooms with supplies and maintain tidiness/appropriate presentation of exam rooms
*administer vaccines
*phlebotomy
*Assist with procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All employees are required to wear a mask if they are not eating or drinking, when possible, health screening of all patients/clients at check in, and increase sanitization of high-touch surfaces.
