Bachelor's degree in Human Services field; four years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, plus two years of supervisory experience in a residential setting; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience implementing residential program services for individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred. Considerable knowledge of the nature of intellectual disabilities and the role of residential support services. Ability to develop, implement and evaluate residential services programs; to supervise the development and implementation of individualized service plans; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers; to supervise staff. Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.The Senior Residential Supervisor:
 • Supervises, trains and evaluates the work of residential program staff
 • Supervises day-to-day operations of a residential program including implementation of services, program budgets, health and safety plans, facility operations and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
 • Oversees scheduling of staff to ensure facility and program coverage
 • Participates in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and goals and objectives
 • Assists in the development and monitoring of a residential facility's budget
 • Develops, enhances, and evaluates residential program to ensure clients' needs are met and clients are effectively integrated into the community
 • Supervises and monitors the preparation and maintenance of casework and related documentation (e.g. Medicaid Waiver documentation, progress notes) as required in the delivery of services; perform other work as required.
