Athletics Ticket Representative 2022-2023

Brown University Athletics is currently seeking candidates for the Athletics Ticket Representative.
Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-D1).
This position is a 9-month position (August through June) and is responsible for selling tickets and will-call at various athletic events.
Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing excellent customer service at home athletic eventsProcess sales in AudienceView ticketing systemEnsure PCI compliance with cash control processManaging complimentary tickets at will-callScanning tickets and student IDsAssisting customers with online ticket purchases at varied athletic eventsQualificationsPrior experience in customer service or hospitality industryPrior experience with event tickets or cash handlingAbility to handle conflict and pressure and direct question and complaints to the appropriate personMath skills to accurately calculate charges and make change in a high pressure situationRequires knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn specific ticketing protocols and rules pertaining to Ivy League and NCAAPossess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.Basic proficiency in excel, word, internet & email capabilities.All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the division are to be reported to the appropriate parties.
