Manager Nutrition Science
About the Job:
We are currently looking to hire a Manager of Nutrition Science based in Louisville, CO or White Plains, NY!
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Proactively identifying and developing innovation opportunities in nutrition science, and translating these into product applications and product messaging that address business and consumer needs
- Influencing cross-functional partners to execute on nutrition strategy and goals, and driving adoption of new approaches and achievement of program objectives
- Independently manage specific projects and platforms, helping to enrich pipeline development and support execution (key work outputs include influencing nutritional recommendations for product, aligning on claims and product messaging, and generating claims substantiation dossiers)
The base compensation range for this position is $98,000-135,000 (commensurate with experience). About you
About You:
- You have a Masters or PhD (preferred) in a related field (e.g. nutrition, microbiology, physiology, public health etc.)
- Have demonstrated ability to work and provide value outside of your area of expertise
- You have a developed an advanced understanding of nutrition science and how to communicate science concepts to influence a diverse group of stakeholders within a business setting
- You can critically evaluate science and drill down to actionable and differentiated concepts to guide future product development
- You have knowledge of the regulatory landscape within the US as it relates to claims on food products and have hand-on experience with claims substantiation.
- You have demonstrated an ability to build strong cross-functional, and cross-region networks
- You will have at least 5+ years of experience and a ideally 2+ years of experience within a CPG or pharmaceutical or other nutrition-focused company
- You have a developed network within the external nutrition community and can leverage this network to accomplish objectives
