The EHS Environmental Associate Resource role reports to the PFNA Director of Environmental Compliance. This role contributes to the success of PepsiCo Foods North America by providing environmental program leadership and direction and enabling EHS risk management including risk identification, evaluation, control, and regulatory compliance in the dynamic industry of manufacturing, warehousing, direct store delivery and transportation. The EHS Environmental Associate Resource is a subject matter expert in the area of environmental compliance and management and can clearly articulate, develop, support implementation and assist the Director with the strategic plan development of the PFNA EHS Management System; a risk-based, prevention and compliance system in the specific media areas of air, water, waste, spills, etc. This role supports program development, implementation, training, and consultation compliance support in designated functional areas and/or field regions. The EHS Environmental Associate Resource has responsibility to anticipate environmental issues, assure risk management processes are applied, coach capabilities into the field, analyze data, and develop actionable solutions. Position is based in Plano, Texas Level 7 Travel - 20% to 40% Primary responsibilities include: Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Air Emission and Air Compliance area and as a backup SME in the Wastewater compliance area. Collects and tracks environmental performance metrics and incident data and assists the Director with updating the Strategic Plan as necessary. This will include quarterly data review and certifications and environmental significant incident investigations, root cause analyses, and develops targeted incident corrective actions -- including tracking them to closure. Assists with the development and delivery of environmental compliance and risk management training programs for multiple PFNA sites covering multiple environmental program elements in various media, including air, water, waste, spills, etc. Evaluates and assists with capital and innovation projects to determine environmental impacts, environmental compliance requirements, and environmental risk control needs ensuring adherence to environmental standards and design/performance of BACT environmental equipment. Partners with the Headquarters Real-Estate team to evaluate real-estate transactions for environmental risks and make recommendations as to needed actions to mitigate risk and with the Manufacturing Operations Support team in achieving the optimization of or National Starch Recovery program.Required Technical Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety, or related technical discipline. Displays strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills. Understands and can articulate environmental regulations. Strong project management skills including financial responsibility, budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, execution and startup/commissioning, managing multiple concurrent projects/programs.#LI-USA Qualifications One to three years of increasingly responsible work experience in the environmental field. Experience in environmental compliance and risk management training program development and implementation. Effective communication and interpersonal skills including public speaking skills and presence in meetings and training environments. Ability to: work collaboratively with colleagues to create a result driven environment lead and influence others maintain confidentiality make independent decisions demonstrate excellent organizational skills use PC and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines travel up to 50% (dependent on business needs and fluctuation) Demonstrates professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader.Preferred Job Qualifications: Environmental management experience in the food and beverage industry or related industry, including consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing industry.
