HIM (Coding) Supervisor
A reputable hospital in West Virginia is actively seeking an HIM (Coding) Supervisor to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position where the HIM (coding) Supervisor will be a direct-hire employee for a large, nationally recognized health system.
The HIM (Coding) Supervisor will be employed by a large health system known for providing exceptional, quality care to patients throughout the country. The HIM (Coding) Supervisor will be based and working for one of the acute care hospital hospitals in West Virginia. This highly accredited, non-profit hospital serves patients living in West Virginia and parts of Virginia, and sees over 50,000 annual Emergency Department visits. The hospital is also recognized for their instructional nursing programs and allied health extern programs.
The HIM (Coding) Supervisor will join a team of 15 individuals dedicated to Health Information Management, and report to the Department Director.The Health Information System (HIM) Coding Supervisor will assure overall quality of revenue integrity and coding by supervising a large team of Certified Coders. The Coding Supervisor will be responsible for managing and monitoring workflow to minimize coding backlogs. In conjunction with the Director of Health Information, the Coding Supervisor will help identify and optimize revenue and cost saving opportunities while still maintaining the highest compliance standards.
Ideally, the Supervisor Health Information Management HIM Coding will have previous medical record or business office experience, working knowledge of medical terminology, and either hold or be willing to obtain their RHIA, RHIT, or CCS Certification.
