As part of our continued growth, we have new opportunity for Per Diem Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care Float team. The clinicians we seek are those who practice medicine with a focus on patient care, not volume.  We want our clinicians to take the time needed to truly address the patient’s needs. 



 



Position Details:




  • Regions: Long Beach and North Orange County

  • Per Diem Schedule: Varied shifts as needed

  • See patients in Primary Care / outpatient setting

  • Initial consults, routine office visits, well checks and follow-up appointments

  • Average Patients Per Day: 18-20 patients

  • Comfortable seeing patients from newborns to geriatric



 



We offer competitive per diem rate plus medical malpractice coverage and eligibility for 401K program.



 



 


Qualifications:




  • Master’s degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification beyond a four-year college.

  • Certificate of completion from an accredited Physician Assistant Studies program

  • Current NCCPA Certification required

  • Unrestricted CA PA license

  • Current CA DEA certificate required prior to start date

  • Minimum one-year Primary Care experience 

  • Comfortable seeing patients of all ages

  • Excellent patient care and time management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment, team player, adaptable to changing priorities

  • Travel to different clinics in designated region

  • EMR Proficient

  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.
