Jacobs is currently seeking a Corporate Accountant Manager to work in a dynamic, challenging environment who will drive and deliver excellence in Jacobs’ Corporate Stock Compensation Accounting Group. In this role, you’ll act a team player and have the desire to be an active, long-term contributor in the growth of the accounting teams and organization overall.



As the Corporate Accounting Manager, here’s how you’ll contribute:




  • Prepare Jacobs’ equity compensation plans sections of the quarterly SEC Forms 10-Q and 8-K (earnings release) and annual Form 10-K in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements


  • Review financial disclosures in the annual report, proxy and other related filings


  • Record and reconcile equity compensation plans, bonus plans, other employer incentive plans and associated intercompany transactions


  • Demonstrate knowledge of ASC 718, Stock-based compensation


  • Provide guidance and work closely with global business service team


  • Prepare monthly closing journal entries, account reconciliations and SOX control reviews


  • Participate in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for compensation activities and continuous improvement process including automation and acceleration


  • Participate in cross functional projects and assist other functions with financial reporting and disclosure matters


  • Demonstrate a commitment to compliance with GAAP, Company policies and procedures, SEC reporting requirements, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements


  • Provide ad hoc reports, analyses and support as needed to external auditors and internal management




Here’s What You’ll Need:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field


  • CPA (candidacy is not sufficient)


  • 5+ years of accounting experience, of which 2+ years of relevant experience in a public accounting firm or publicly traded company


  • Self-starter and work independently with minimal supervision


  • Ability to work in a fast, dynamic environment, and prioritize competing priorities


  • Advanced excel user, including pivot tables and lookups for large volume of data


  • Experience with a large ERP system and Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle preferred


  • Exposure to consolidations, international accounting and reporting issues relating to stock-based comp


  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and external auditors


  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and process improvement skills


  • US citizenship is a requirement
