Penn State Men's and Women's Fencing is looking for an Armorer.
This position will have the following responsibilities:
Prepare Fencing room for practice
Assist with planning and coordinate all aspects of team travel; develop itineraries; coordinate transportation, hotel arrangements, meals, practice times and sites, to meet NCAA rules and regulations.
Assist with organizing all aspects of recruiting visits, including facility scheduling, host coordination, hotel accommodations, travel and flight arrangements, transportation, and campus meetings.
May provide assistance to plan, organize and coordinate all logistics of the summer camp program; promote program by creating and distributing brochures; manages the budget to ensure expenses are within budget; organizes registration; oversees the staff hiring, and establishes daily camp schedule in conjunction with the Sport Camp office.
Prepare fencing room for competitions
Assist coaches and athletes during competitions
Responsible for the team as a whole understanding basic principles of care and maintenance of equipment and shall work toward this end by hosting armoring sessions
Maintenance personal equipment for the team
Keep equipment inventory
Keep contact with the team coaches to coordinate order of new equipment
