Job Description Technicians work in a team environment with other technicians pilots dispatchers flight attendants and line service in order to ensure a safe and legal environment for passengers and colleagues in fulfillment of the air transportation services. Troubleshoot repair inspect and perform maintenance on customer and transient aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations. Requirements : Ensure that all work during assigned shift is accomplished and in accordance with the manufacture recommendations; Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with the manufacturers technical data CFSs and applicable safety regulations; Possesses a violation-free current Airframe and Power Plant certificate; Possesses a personal set of tools appropriate to the type of aircraft operated by the department; Positive can do team attitude great communication skills both written and verbal; Excellent organizational skills attention to detail interpersonal skills; Great situational awareness job planning and scheduling; Working knowledge of MS office computer software; Read and understand manufactures documentation; Excellent avionics and electrical knowledge reading and understanding schematic and wiring diagrams; Excellent troubleshooting skills electrical avionics systems hydraulics; Ability to stand for long periods of time lift up to 50 pounds walk distances in the hangar; Work varying shifts holidays weekends stand-by on-call; Ability and willingness to travel as required; Willing to work outside in the elements as required; Basic Qualifications: The Candidate must have a general understanding of mechanical practices in regards to; Basic Tool identification and application/use of Tooling. Basic understanding of Mechanical theories. Must be proficient in reading and interpreting schematics engineering drawings and technical manuals / technical orders. Applicant must be able to travel as required. Applicant must be able to work overtime as needed. Applicant must be able to work extended/multiple shifts as required for delivery schedule/budget. Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. Desired Skills: Documented Military/DOD Service School Civilian/FAA equivalent training or Electrical trades schools training. Experience with Rotary Wing Aviation Aircraft a plus. Experience with Fixed Wing Aviation Aircraft also considered. Prior Military experience. Basic Qualifications not solely required only looking for energized ready to learn candidates.
