Description: The Assistant Director, Delbridge Career Center will provide career guidance, resources, and job search strategy coaching to Western New England students and alumni.  The Assistant Director will facilitate the Academic Internship Program and conduct classroom presentations and workshops on career and major exploration and education, assessment activities, and current employment trends.  This position will also provide additional support to other constituent groups including non-traditional students, transfer students, and alumni. A Master's degree in higher education or a related area and at least three-five years of related experience is preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills are required as is evidence of working with multiple external and campus constituencies. Candidates should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team exhibiting strategic thinking, sound judgment, initiative, and flexibility. Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service and relations is required.  Knowledge of and demonstrated use of social media platforms, internet-based career resources, and software, and Microsoft Office, strongly preferred. This position may require travel as well as night and weekend hours.
Candidates should have experience advising and interacting with students as well as collaborating with faculty and employers.  The candidate will work closely with colleagues in Student Involvement, University Advising, Residence Life, Alumni Engagement, and the Academic Success Center to develop special programs and events. In addition, candidates should have current knowledge of trends, information, and strategy for careers and graduate and professional school and experience in the administration and interpretation of career assessment instruments.
