We are searching for a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to join our team.
This position is based out of our St. Margaret’s Center. St. Margaret’s Center is a 94 bed skilled nursing facility providing short-term, long-term, and respite care to children and young adults with disabilities. Our dedicated team of professionals delivers individualized care focusing on the unique needs of our residents. As a CTRS you will be responsible for assisting the Resident Life team with providing therapeutic recreation programs and experiences for the residents of St. Margaret’s Center. These experiences are designed to improve each child’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional functioning abilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Therapeutic Recreation or related field
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required
- Valid NYS Drivers License
- At least 1 year related experience, specifically in providing care and recreational programs to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
