Job Description:
The Rehab Aide assists with patient-related physical, occupational, and speech therapy tasks and duties under the on-site supervision of the therapist following therapy association guidelines which may include transporting residents scheduled for PT, OT, and ST to and from treatment areas, following safety standards while performing patient related duties i.e. good body mechanics, transfer belt, correct transfer procedures, and comply with patient precautions, notifying therapists of any resident related problems observed and assisting professional staff as requested.
The Rehab Aide also performs clerical duties such as filing, copying, mailing, scheduling, equipment ordering, etc., timely preparing and processing charts and assisting with the maintenance of department records as directed. This role also assists with non-patient-related tasks in clinic area i.e. tracking wheelchairs, tracking transfer belts, maintain storeroom orderliness and assists with leisure activities for patients.
Work schedule: 1.0 FTE (80 hours every 2 weeks) 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with no weekends
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a skilled nursing facility or TCU environment
