The Pharmacy Inventory Clerk provides and maintains an appropriate inventory of drugs and supplies, within the constraints of the annual budget.
- Appropriately return or destroy expired or unusable drugs within 30 days or assist contracted external agency in this function.
- Arrange for outside maintenance of departmental equipment as required.
- Assist in coordination of the annual inventory.
- Assist the pharmacy technicians in receiving, price labeling and putting away orders.
- Assist the systems and purchasing coordinator and oversee the activities of the pharmacy technicians in controlled substance accounting and distribution.
- Perform quality assurance functions as applicable to purchasing functions.
- Maintain minimum inventory to meet distributive needs throughout Ambulatory departments within the Carle organization.
- Maintain 340B compliance.
